Absolutely. People need to know what to expect when they visit your blog. That doesn't mean you can't deviate from your core content from time to time. It just means you have to protect the relationship you have with your reader.

Great post Ben.

I would also add a different kind of content consistency. I see a lot of pastors blogging great content and then out of no where there is a post about the upcoming church picnic. Find you niche(s) and stick to it.

I pulled from several contracts written by an attorney as well as added a little language of my own based on what I've learned about contracts over the years. Every freelancer should have an attorney they can call should they need one, though.

Thanks so much for your kind words about the blog. I really appreciate it. Hope you're doing well.

Blessings!

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the great tip! Just wondering if you had a lawyer draw up your language for the termination clause, or if you wrote it yourself. What's the best way to put this copy together so that it is legally binding? Your blog looks amazing - great job!

Cheers,
Lauren

Great list Ben! So true! I might add two things. 1-Smile at people you do business with and call them by name if they have name tag displayed. And 2- secretly pay for someones groceries ( or something similar) when you know they must be strapped for every nickel. I did this at Christmas time . I gave the store Manager $$$$ to credit toward a woman's groceries. Made my day!
