Too much talk, Too Little Do
I’m a HUGE fan of Tom Peters. His no nonsense approach and style allows him to speak the truth and create change. In this video, he talks about the value of actually doing things, even if it ends in failure.
I remember some advice a former marketing manager gave me. He said, “Ben, businesses who succeed produce something.” So I’ve built BenStroup.com in the vein of production. Strategy informs our production, but we never confuse strategy-making for production. When you do something:
- You can see, taste, touch, and feel it (even if it’s digital).
- It works, or it doesn’t.
- It’s measurable.
- You can learn something that will improve your next attempt.
What are you producing?
