Tony Morgan’s eBooks on church leadership exceed 50k downloads
I just wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate that the first four eBooks Tony Morgan and I completed now exceed 50k downloads. In many ways, this milestone is affirmation of our assumptions about the advantages of digital publishing. Traditional publishing is rebalancing to account for new mediums of content distribution. The most important asset to any publishing endeavor is the connection a writer has with his or her audience.
Tony and I are not anti-traditional publishing. We started down that road last year. We experienced a lack of interest in the things Tony wanted to write about. We could have thrown in the towel and just waited for someone to “get” what it was we were trying to say. But we didn’t. Tony knew his audience wanted to hear from him, and he was clear about his message surrounding church health.
Our investment in digital publishing is less about creating more “things” and more about expanding Tony’s reach by focusing on adding additional content distribution channels to his already wildly popular blog. It’s been a success on all fronts. Tony is publishing more frequently. He is hearing from people who have discovered him outside his blog. And Tony has been able to share his heart about things like church, ministry, leadership, and life change with an even broader audience
Our next eBook is due out in October and will be the second installment in The Leisure Suit series. We hope you’ll enjoy #5 as much as you have the first four.
