[Note: I'm continuing a series on Saturdays called "The Toolbox." My intent is to highlight some of the software, products, and services that have become invaluable to me in my work. I think they will be helpful to you, too. I'd welcome your suggestions on what to review. I recently had a conversation with a client about Google Voice. He was just as excited about it as I was when I first discovered it and began using it. I think it’s really going to help him. I also remembered how many times I’ve shared 11 reasons why I use Google Voice. I posted it about one year ago. It’s been one of the most popular posts on my blog, so I thought I’d make note of it again.

I still use Google Voice, and I’d recommend it without hesitation. If you’re on the fence, I hope this post will — at the very least — encourage you to give it a try. It’s not perfect, but its strengths far outweigh its shortcomings.

What’s been your experience with Google Voice?
