Does your funding strategy fit on a napkin?
The Impact Income Napkin is one of my absolute favorite blog posts of all time. It’s simple and powerful.
Question: Is your mission and strategy simple enough to be written on the back of a napkin?

This is both a great and challenging thought. If churches have a written mission and strategy, it’s probably a lengthy one. I’ve been told that for a mission statement to be most effective, it must be concise enough for all the organizations members to memorize it. The napkin strategy sure fits that!
Thanks for all you do!

Thanks, Randy.
Your comments made me laugh. I think about all the bulletins that have an entire page dedicated to a clever way of stating the purpose and mission of their church when all that’s really needed is a simple statement. No one will ever remember most church’s mission and strategy.
I’m doing some client work with Soles4Souls. They give away shoes to people who need them around the world. It’s amazing that a $80M organization can operate with such a simple, concise purpose. I think the church could learn a lot from this organization. In fact, I bet the seminary students would love to hear Wayne Elsey (founder and CEO) speak at chapel. He’s a great speaker, and, yes, he is a believer. I’m happy to make the connection.
As always, thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments. I always enjoy the conversation.
Blessings, Ben.
