Is your church worth my generosity?
When the people leave your church campus, are they…
- clear about what your church is on mission to do?
- invited to participate in the solution?
- filled with a sense of urgency to join the work…immediately?
If not, it’s time to rethink you’re communication strategy. This video represents your competition. Will the compelling case for support you prepared for Sunday morning capture the hearts or waste the time of your membership? Is it all about you, or is it all about them?
I’m looking to fund Kingdom impact, and I’m not the only one. What does that look like in your church? If you can’t answer that, then you’re going to have a tough time competing with organizations like the one represented in this video.
Church leaders: watch and learn.

Wow Ben…that’s a powerful video. I would definitely say that the bar has been raised for our churches. It’s too bad that most of the message that comes from church leadership is about the responsibility to give, etc…what about the joy of giving?
Michael,
Thanks for your thoughts. You are right on. Giving habits (as far as percentage of giving) has been relatively the same since the 1960′s. I think we have enough evidence now to suggest that we might need to adjust our strategy at engaging the people who sit in our pews in order to fund the work the Church has been called to accomplish.
Blessings, Ben.
