People don't want to give to your church
In just a matter of one week, USA Today released an article that said church giving is down and churches across American are paralyzed by financial hardship. On the other hand, I read today that donations to Haiti have already exceeded $275 million.
Those two extremes are hard to reconcile in my mind.
Maybe the problem isn’t a giving problem or a financial problem at all. Maybe the hard reality is this: the people in your pews just don’t want to give to your church.
Who do you think gave $275 million? My guess is that you probably see their faces every Sunday morning.
